WebsiteBuilder.com Better Than Wix?
Wix, Weebly, and Squarespace have been a few of my favorite website builders. But there's a new entrant to the scene and it's warring for a place in my heart as my favorite website builder. It's WebsiteBuilder.com and you can watch my full review of it on the video below.
One of WebsiteBuilder.com's keys to success in my opinion was copying (or immitating) some of the succesful features of Wix (and other good website builders like Weebly and Squarespace). So what are the features in WebsiteBuilder.com that are reminiscent of Wix?
The overall layout of the website builder is simlar and the layered free layout where you can overlay elements is a foundational aspect of Wix.
But the most unique aspect of WebsiteBuilder.com that was Wix's original claim to fame in my opinion is the animations. WebsiteBuilder.com calls them behaviors because they also allow you to do other things like video plays, navigation, and scrolling when certain events take place like hover, clicking, etc.
In general though, you can do a lot of cool things with animations using the behavior options offered in WebsiteBuilder.com. Having a website with a little bit of movement on the screen can set you apart and keep eyeballs on your screen for a few seconds long, which can make a world of difference!
